The Creeping Police State

September 07, 2012 | Jim Puplava and Lew Rockwell | LewRockwell.com
JIM PUPLAVA:  Joining me as my special guest on the program today is Lew Rockwell from LewRockwell.com. And Lew, you recently wrote a piece about the police state, and you talked about several years ago, the police entered the office of a young professor at a reputable university and arrested him for an online crime. They took the professor away, booked him, offered him a deal to admit guilt and get off easy. The professor did that, but he ended-up in jail.  What happened to his rights in the court system to defend himself?

LEW ROCKWELL:  Well I guess in some sense, you have no rights these days.
