From The New Management TeamRevolution PAC is under new management with an entirely new team at the helm. Please do not judge Revolution PAC 2.0 by any shortcomings of its earlier incarnation. We hope people dedicated to the Liberty Movement will give our new team – and it is an entirely new team – the benefit of the doubt.
First a little history: One member of the new management team was retained by Revolution PAC (for a very modest amount of money it might be added) in July 2012 to file its 2nd Quarter FEC report. In doing so, he got an inside look at the challenges the group faced and was surprised to learn they planned to close down – leaving a lot of unattended issues. He offered to take over as an officer of the PAC and bring in a whole new management team to fix those problems. That team is now in place and working very hard to clean up an organization that has an enormous amount of promise – but a lot of baggage - and put it to good use defending liberty and advancing the Liberty Movement.
When the new team took over in early August, there was virtually no money in the bank. While we have raised some money since then, not one of the new team took a dime out of this organization last year, nor did it pay any consultants—but every member of the team has expended a lot of time and energy, and in some cases some of their own money to turn the organization around.
We fixed the mess with one of the premiums offered to donors (the Ron Paul action figures), and they are finally out in the mail to those who should have received them; we are dealing with a barrage of FEC reporting inquiries with regard to the old reports; we’ve re-launched the website and kept the Facebook community active; and now, we are focusing on some exciting new efforts.
While we eventually have to pay staff and consultants to run an organization of this size and complexity, we are going to be extremely tight-fisted and careful with those funds. And, everything will be done transparently so our donors can have complete confidence in our intentions and our integrity. We all believe it is essential to be good stewards of donor funds if we are to be successful building a vibrant, long-term organization that can have an impact. If people give us a chance, they will see that commitment come through in everything we do.
We regret any negative experiences donors and activists may have had with Revolution PAC under its previous management and leadership. None of the new team ever worked with them but we are aware of the challenges Revolution PAC had in the past, and we are focused on fixing them and building a new organization with strong forward momentum.
Revolution PAC’s new chairman, Larry Hunter has a passion for the Liberty Movement and is committed to doing everything he can to advance liberty with a revolutionary spirit as Ron Paul has admonished. Read Dr. Hunter’s Personal Introduction to get a sense of who he is and his commitment to the Liberty Movement.
We hope you will give Revolution PAC’s new team the benefit of the doubt, and do please feel free to hit us up about any questions or concerns you may have.
Defend liberty with a revolutionary spirit.
